Baltimore

February 11, 2010 Update: The Baltimore conference is now sold out.  Please email: sitsgirls@gmail.com to be added to the waiting list.

That’s right, ladies.  We are coming to Baltimore, Maryland for a day of networking, education and, of course, fun!

Designed to be intimate and inclusive, this event will be different than any you’ve attended before.  And whether you are a newbie or a seasoned blogger, you’ll walk away with tons of new ideas and new connections.

Networking and collaboration is what Bloggy Boot Camp is all about.

Here are the details:
When
: March 6, 2010 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Where: Pier 5 Hotel in Baltimore
Cost: $89 includes lunch and all education

Speakers/Facilitators:
Amy Lupold Blair:
Named one of the most powerful and influential women in social media just months after beginning to blog in 2008, Amy Lupold Bair burst onto the scene with the creation of Twitter party marketing events.  The owner of Resourceful Mommy Media and founder of the Global Influence Network, Amy continues to develop her personal blog and brand at ResourcefulMommy.com, while also working on multi-media and offline campaigns with nationally recognized brands, such as Huggies, HP, and the Ad Council.

Jill Smokler of Scary Mommy has grown her blog to a wide readership with an incredibly loyal following.  Jill is also the Community Manager for Nickelodeon’s Parent Connect website and has experience working with PR on various campaigns, ranging from simple reviews to web-wide campaigns.

Kathy of Mama’s Losin’ It: Best known for her humor, Kathy has gone from a mommy blogger to an online personality in just over a year.  Kathy does it all.  From vlogging to her famous Writer’s Workshop, she has become her own brand.

Sarah of Trenches of Mommyhood had a mind once.  Now she has children.  When she’s not wrangling her 3 boyz (ages 8, 5 and 4), Sarah works full-time as the Program Manager in the Corporate Secretary’s Office for the world’s largest office product company.  In less fancy terms, she’s a paralegal.   At Staples.  Sarah is also a habitual nail-biter, Coke Zero drinker and chocoholic whose Trenches of Mommyhood are located outside of Boston, Massachusetts.

Shannon Entin of Mom Reinvented, formerly known as “PHATMommy”, is the tech guru who guest posts on SITS once a month with fabulous information, including tips and hints on how to improve your traffic, SEO and overall social media experience.

Stacey Ferguson, aka Justice Fergie, is an expert on the legal implications of sponsored blogging and a full-time working mother of three spunky children, ages 5, 3, and 1.  She blogs at Mamalaw, an award-winning parenting lifestyle blog, with 2 other mom lawyers.  A self-professed overachiever, Justice Fergie is constantly on the go, whether it be in her role as a practicing attorney, a wife to her loving hubby of 6 years, a co-Coordinator of the Blogalicious Weekend conferences, or a supermom.

Tiffany Romero of SITS and The R Family Diaries: In 18 months Tiffany went from becoming addicted to her first comment, to founding SITS, to working with a major brand to forming Stars and Hearts Media to planning SITScation.  She will share her thoughts on blogging, Twitter, and all things social media.

Discussion topics will include:

  • SEO & how to optimize your traffic
  • WordPress vs. Blogger – Should you make the switch?
  • PR – What you need to know
  • Twitter – Best Practices
  • Your Online Personality/Brand – Do you have one?  How do you get one?
  • Blogging With Integrity
  • NETWORKING, NETWORKING, NETWORKING

Because of the intimate environment we strive to create, we have limited attendance to 85 tickets.  This will give you the opportunity to meet and network with fabulous women, as well as be very interactive.  Also, all sessions are for everyone, so there is no need to pick and choose!

This sounds amazing.. I would love to attend, but Baltimore is a little too far away for me.

It would be awesome if you could do some kind of bloggy boot camp online. I would totally be there.

Baltimore #BloggyBootCamp was so worth the money. The sessions were packed with information. I left energized to do just one thing with my blog…establish a brand.
