Ain’t Yo Mama’s Blog is a blog written by Aimee, mother of a little monkey and wife to a very cool dude. Her blog is different than many mom blogs in that it tackles a lot of “real world” issues.
Aimee says, “I’m not here just to get personal and discuss my life as a mom. I want to open up discussion on the things that parents (and non-parents, of course) really care about. My role as a mother is my most important role, but it’s also my most recent role. Just like most other parents, I wear many hats and I am passionate about many things.”
And it shows in her writing. She often talks about issues that at the very least, will make you think…and at the most, discuss.
She has a great outlook on time and no longer counts down the days to Friday, she knows who she is even after changing her identity, and she has proof that kids are hazardous to our health.

I’m thinking Excedrin PM last night was a terrible mistake…
Just checked Aimee’s blog – glad she clarified the changing identity thing . . . I was thinking it was going to be about changing identities (plural – as in multiple)! Just met 5 of my fellow “green group” Tortoises. What an appropriate name – to Native Americans, the turtle/tortoise is associated with the power of the female energies and a reminder that the way to “heaven” is through the earth. Looking forward to a wonderful journey!

Aimee sounds great! She’s right, we all had experiences to bring to the table before Mommyhood and continue to have parts of our lives to share and contribute that is not exclusively the Mama in us (though, being a Mama certainly colors oh so much for us, sometimes with a set of detailed colored pencils and other times, with exploding bottles of paint! :>).
Hey ladies! I just blogged about a beautiful design store in Vancouver. Check out my photos
