Now you can do it right with some help from today’s featured blogger Carlo from Cater-Hater. She’s a caterer sharing her tips!
My DNA is party geek hard-wired, for sure. I love EVERYTHING about catering and planning parties, to the point that, if I could afford to, I’d never charge a single dime — creating parties for everyone who asks me, for free. I specialize in catering large (1000+) luxury events and think that everyone should have the opportunity to have at least one luxe catered party in their honor during their lifetime. But since that’s not always possible, I created Cater-Hater… a place to receive private party, wedding, and corporate special event ideas and inspiration.
I can see something party-related in anything, including things that are so far removed from parties that it’s not even funny. I told you I was a party geek. Please pray for me!

I try… to have and share great tips. The thing is some of my favorite and most creative tips are buried because I’ve been writing for almost four years. So to find some where I list endless ideas is to go through the archives. Or, better still… use Google search on the sidebar that is set up to search my site/blog.

Andrea, I’m excited for you to visit my site too. It’s different, in a way. I love to write (can you tell?), so I have several extremely descriptive posts that “explain” all the various things that I envision for parties (some of the stuff I have shared doesn’t even exist). But if you like parties, and are looking for something different, there’s a chance that I’ve come up with something and that you’ll find it there.
The main thing I want to convey is that I appreciate that you’ve taken the time “to come see me”. The whole world is busy, so I truly “get” just how special it is; for the SITS community of women bloggers to stop by and show their support… you included, of course! And for that, I thank you!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I never considered myself to be very brave… but I have had some interesting things I’ve encountered. It’s mostly been “movie star”/celebrity related kind of stuff. Not so much horror stories or anything.
I’ve been blessed to encounter a lot of interesting people, famous and non-famous. Being a people person, that gave me a big charge! But at the end of the day, it’s always been about the party or special event. I think everyone’s a star… it’s just that the rest of the world doesn’t know it yet!
You guys made me feel as important as anyone could ever feel today…
and for that, I am grateful!

Sounds like everything went really well for you, which is awesome. But tell me, it was a lot of work, now wasn’t it? I can TOTALLY relate. If you only knew the number of times I did the same thing! It’s nuts! The phone rings or I get distracted some other way and there I go — I forget to get back over here and “roll call”! You are soooo NOT alone. I’m “late” or the last one a lot of times. I thought I held the title for being the #1 “Queen of Day Behind on SITS”!

Erin, don’t I understand; about the guest too early or too late thing! Years ago I had a party and this guy that I knew stopped by something like 3 or 4 hours BEFORE the party started. I don’t know why I didn’t tell him to leave… he was so annoying and he knew it. Can you believe it… he did that on purpose. I guess he was trying to throw me off. I wasn’t even in the “party industry” yet, but thankfully I didn’t miss a beat. All I could think was… the nerve of some people!
