#Blogtober Facebook Linkup AND Giveaway!

So far #Blogtober has been a blast.  Our Twitter linkup last week was awesome and there are so many wonderful bloggers to connect with.

Now we turn our attention to Facebook.

Having a Facebook page for your blog is a great way to connect with readers on a regular basis.  You can post short updates that you want to share but don’t want to devote an entire post to.  You can ask questions and talk directly to your readers.

Link Up, Get Facebook Likes, and Enter the Giveaway

Are you ready to link up your blog’s Facebook page and play along? Here’s what you need to do:

  • Link up your blog’s Facebook page in the linky tool below. {Be sure to enter a link directly to your Facebook page, such as https://www.facebook.com/SITSGirls.}
  • Like at least two Facebook pages ahead of you on the grid.  Keep in mind there are two ways to Like a page, as yourself (via your personal Facebook account) or via your own Facebook page.  The former will show up in the page’s number of Likes while the latter will not but it is up to you to decide how to Like.
  • Leave a message on your new Facebook friends’ pages and get the conversation started. Here’s an example: Hey! I’m here as part of Blogtober on The SITS Girls and I love your page!

    Just FYI, be sure to like FB pages through your personal account as well as your fan page. Liking from fan page does not show up in the numbers. If you have the time to make the switch back and forth it helps out with the numbers. I realize that’s not always easy to go back and forth, and it’s not about numbers, but we would all like to see a little jump from Blogtober, no?

    So, adding a page to my pages favorites is the way to “like” another page? Or am I missing something?

    It’s too bad FB doesn’t make it count for pages to like other pages. I don’t use FB with a personal account, but I certainly want to be liked and to support my fellow bloggers! Maybe we can start a campaign…
