Waiting to receive that magical e-mail stating that your Feature Day has arrived can take awhile. That’s why when we revamped the website, we also reconfirmed our commitment to showcasing the fabulous women in our community by coming up with new and innovative ways to feature bloggers.
It has long been said that a picture can speak a thousand words and videos offer a glimpse of a person in a way that a blog post simply cannot. As our way to encourage you to continue expanding your bag of bloggy tricks, we’re excited to launch: SITS Girl in the Spotlight. Doing so allows us to recognize even more talented SITStahs and what they’re doing around the blogosphere.
Here’s how it works: Once a quarter, we’ll be asking you to send us your favorite picture OR vlog. Our plan is to then update our homepage multiple times a week and feature these submissions by including a short description of the blogger, link love, and the blogger’s photo or vlog.
For a full explanation of rules, regulations, and other important tips, Mama Kat recorded her own vlog. Hopefully it will help answer any questions you might have…
In short, here is how you can get involved:
- Send your vlog or picture to SITSspotlight@gmail.com, and include “SITS Spotlight” in the subject.
- Include a description of your submission and your URL in the email.
- If you are submitting a vlog, keep the length to two (maybe three) minutes long.
- If you are submitting a picture, your camera can pretty much focus on anything.
- Choose only one video or picture to share.
- Stay away from nudity and foul language.

Tungsten is some bloody tough stuff. My friend’s wedding band is tungsten, and, had a work situation of ‘lift this f*kin thing of my hand, otherwise my finger will swell up and probably have to be taken off!!!!

Oh man, just the thought of vlogging makes me nervous.
I’m a video junkie so this should be fun. I know we are to be G rated but can we talk about anything we want? Can we share workouts and stuff like that or just friendly chat?
