Raising Ivy

It’s Monday!

We had an AMAZING weekend at the Bloggy Boot Camp.

Now, to stay on our roll, we’ve got a great featured blogger!

Meet Louise of Raising Ivy.

I’m a happy wife and mama to two boys, eight chickens, a hive of bees and two crazy Australian Shepherds named Ivy and Revel. At age forty-two, when the first Aussie came to us, I had never owned a dog; I started the blog to tell the story of my attempts at amateur dog training, but it has become so much more. My dogs teach by example to live with joy. My readers have educated me, encouraged me and saved my ignorant self more times than I can count. In return, I try to offer some entertainment, some hard-earned insights and of course some good doggie pics!

I’m not really a dog person, and I still very much enjoyed your blog- bravo. And even as not a dog person, I can still appreciate what beauties your animals are! Don’t see many like that around these parts!

My kids and I are desperately trying to convince my husband we need a dog. My youngest is 3 and my oldest is 5 and I want to get them a puppy they can grow up with :) Great blog!

Congratulations Louise… for being today’s Featured Blogger. Cool.
But cooler still is, you’ve decided to focus your blog more on your dog(s). Ivy must be truly special.

I’m not a dog lover. I’m sincerely a dog fanatic! So I won’t just extend happy thoughts only to you and your family, but also to the other living creatures that deserves credit, Ivy – with some love thrown in there for Revel too.

Happy SITS Day! I can’t wait to check out your blog!

Happy Monday. It’s going to be a long week here. My daughter is on vacay from school this week. She’s already been in a mood all day today. Ugh.

I loooooove Australian Shepherds! They are such beautiful dogs :) I can’t wait to read all about your adventures and hopefully learn some tricks to try on my dog :)

Thanks, Ashley! There are so many varieties of Aussie (one of mine is a red merle and the other a blue merle), but they’re all gorgeous to me. Love your blog, btw!

Hope I can get a copy of that movie here. Dogs are amazing souls. When I miscarried, my dog never left my side. He gave me a lot of strength. Sadly Castor died of cancer nearly three years ago, but he was with me when I needed him.
