Day 2 of our Back to Blogging event! It’s not too late to join in! This week is all about getting you back into a posting and commenting routine now that summer is over. And, as added incentive, one of our lucky participants will walk away with Thelma and Louise, our fabulous washer and dryer set. If you need the details, I’ve included them at the bottom of this post…
Today’s assignment is to re-upload a post you wish more people had paid attention to…
Tiffany is sharing hers:
I have a few posts I wish people had paid more attention to, but one that I think is timeless and I wish women would keep in mind before they rush to judgment is my Mother’s Day post from 2008 and 2009.
This is what I posted last Mother’s Day. It is still exactly what I want to say.
Breast or Bottle.
Your Bed or Crib.
Home School or Public.
Single or Married.
Nanny or Not.
Six or One.
Disposable or Cloth.
At Work or At Home.
Juicy Sweats or Cat Sweaters
Homemade or Store Bought.
No matter your Mommy style. I love you. I support you. I thank you.
Happy Mother’s Day.
When I read this, it reminds me that we are all doing the best we can. And, just because someone does it different, doesn’t mean it’s wrong. It just means its different.
Now it’s your turn! Link up a previous post you wish more people had read and explain why.
To recap, here is how you can participate in our Back to Blogging event:
Play along! Write a post using the daily prompts we described here and then link your post on SITS each day this week. All posts should mention and link to our sponsors, Standards of Excellence, Westar Kitchen and Bath, and Florida Builder Appliances, somewhere in the text.

Follow! Follow Standards of Excellence on Twitter.
Tweet! Send out the following message on Twitter:
I’m getting #Back2Blogging w/ the @SITSGirls. And thanks to @SOESupply, maybe Thelma & Louise can come live w/ me! http://bit.ly/aad1L5
Discusss! Join Jennifer from Momma Made It Look Easy as she continues the discussion on today’s topic in the SITS Girls Community in BlogFrog.
I’ve never had a problem writing about the cute things my kids do, or the annoying things my kids do, or writing about my husband or really myself, but the one thing I’ve had trouble writing about is my faith…
It’s sure to be another great day of dialog. Join us!
Our Back to Blogging event will remain open until this Sunday, September 19 at midnight PST. This means that you have the next 7 days to tweet, Facebook, BlogFrog, and link up your posts. Contest entries can be left on any of the daily posts this week. Just be sure to leave a separate comment whenever you Like our sponsors on Facebook, follow them on Twitter, or tweet the giveaway. Each of these qualifies as one entry into the sweepstakes.
Good luck!

Great post, Tiffany. Looking forward to reading the others.
this peaks volumes to me as my blog has suffered terribly over the summer with work/deadline and travel with the hubby and his band. thanks for the initiative and the community SITS!
Isn’t it great! I hope it inspires you to write again.
sounds great…this was a lot of fun finding the post I wanted to use!
Again another one that I would love to participate in but I can’t really pick “one” One of the reasons I haven’t signed up for the fb is that I can’t decide or think which post should be featured and whatnot (low self esteem extends to blogging too, I guess).
Can’t wait to read what other’s have to share!
The line for FB is months out- you should at least sumbit some posts and when the time comes, change them if needed!
T
Oh this sounds fun. I will have to go back through and see which one didn’t get the traffic I wanted!
xo
amanda
actually my recent post… i finished my first knitted bag designed by myself
need comments
and i am so happy. i just got shelly from atomicwonderland to design my new blog/website. hooray
Love that little purse! And your blog design is great…don’t you just want to keep staring at it.
That’s what I do when I get a new design.
I wish more people read my posts on wine. I try to make them really informative, like why decanting is good for wine, how to store wine long term, what wine diamonds are, etc. I never do wine reviews because I know I’m hardly an authority, but I love sharing the knowledge with people! I wish more people wanted to learn more about what they drink!
Interesting…I never really think about what I drink, but one of the daycare moms makes wine and brought me two award winning bottles. Definitely makes me wonder now!

Day 2: Entire relationships in one paragraph
Just wanted to say, I AM LOVING THIS BLOGGING EVENT!!! <3
Isn’t it fun? And such simple posts!!
Nice post, and I couldn’t agree more!
What a beautiful message and one that is so true! Thanks for re-sharing it.
Did a lot today even though I have a cold. Resting for the rest of the night.
Happy Tuesday ladies.

It’s been an interesting Tuesday with internet going up and down. In everything I give thanks to God.
Here it is, ‘The One I Wish You Read’.
http://theendoftherainbowlifeafterbankruptcy.blogspot.com/2010/09/re-do-part-two-one-i-wish-you-read.html
Not a particularly interesting or original way to get you over to my blog, I realize…but one nonetheless I’m hoping will resonate for all the ‘friendless’ out there.
Peace and serenity,
~Jo
‘The End Of The Rainbow: Life After Bankruptcy’
I had such a hard time choosing what to post today – almost used my Mother’s Day piece from this year. Went with a giggle inducer instead.
Love this challenge because I started blogging a few weeks before I told anyone about it so some of my earlier (and frankly my best posts) went unnoticed.
I’ve been gone for way too long and have missed you all! Hope all you SITStas are doing well.
Kristi, Live and Love…Out Loud
@TweetingMama
Glad to see you back Kristi!
I did a test once just to see if anyone was actually reading the bulk of content on my site or if they were just skimming. My main content was a story about how my great uncle and I were trapped in the mountains for days and how he wrestled a bear for the last piece of food or something as ridiculous. Sure enough, no comments about it.
Awww! Is it bad if I’m laughing right now? I did something similar once on twitter. Talked about how I peed my pants just to see if anyone would respond. Nobody did. But I stuck with it! Don’t give up.
was nice re-reading many posts.
Have a fab evening.
Okay … so I need to get moving on this… My goodness, I have to do one and two already!

Posted mine- is it cheating that it’s a post from earlier this week??
I guess it’s technically your archives right?
Oh if only I had the extra time to redo my blog a bit… spruce it up… write a better post! =) *sigh* barely keeping my blog updated… much less updating IT! maybe when routine settles in?? lol!
It can be so hard with these busy days!
Love you lovely ladies!

Happy Tuesday everyone!
I have mine going up tomorrow! What a great idea!!!
I tweeted…woo hoo!
I liked Standards Of Excellence on FB!
I just realized that I posted and linked but never left a comment today!
I posted and remembered to link today – I found a post that really means a lot to me!
I am loving “back to blogging” and how attentive it has made me to my blog (and blog content). Not to mention I had a previous blog design and having a community of people visiting my site really made me step up and improve my layout and design.
It’s really helped me make my entire blog more accessible and inviting to others, which also improves my writing style and technique!

Back to Blogging – Day 2
So glad you are finding benefit in it.
It’s nice to “re-group” every once in a while!
Oh my, I’m so tired I can’t remember if I roll called on here today!
Well, I’m here to say that I TWEETED the giveaway!
Having such fun this week! It’s so nice to revive some old posts!
Glad I went backa and read this old post that not enough people read. Its been a sad day around here and I needed a little pick-me-up.
I DO CRACK ME UP!!
great post ~ enjoying this challenge!
Hi hi!!!
Such a lovely idea!
Late today to roll call. Anyone else having trouble roll calling from their blackberry? I love Tiffany’s post. Sometimes mommyhood can be so judgy and it’s important that we can appreciate the way someone else does it, even if we don’t agree.
Exactly!
Hey superchicks!!! OMG I’m so spent! can’t wait to SIT DOWN and stat my “back to blogging”! I’ve alredy falle behind!!! Aaahhhh!!! =) Sending love to all! muah!

Since I just started my blog and have reached out to the Pittsburgh Literacy Council to see if I can help them better reading for youth in our community. When I get more response and more feedback I will build up the blog to include more relevant topics to women and families. Right now the content is sparce and includes mostly book readings.
You know, as bloggers we often get so bogged down with the idea that the post has to be revolutionary or really creative or graphically amazing. But sometimes, the simplest post, something honestly true can have the biggest impact.
This is a beautiful post.
Thank you!
Its so true, sometimes just the simple truth is enough.
I just tweeted 9/14 8:37pm EST. @cmacceo
I decided to pull out an old post that accurately describes a day in my life: Unpredictable. A little humor, OH… and dancing. What’s a post without dancing??

I’d actually love if people paid attention to my last post which highlights the plight of so many in this economy?
It has a lighthearted component too and if you participate you can get a prize. Hmm probably chocolates.
I linked up a 3-d project that I worked on this summer. I worked on it up until the last second of the last class and didn’t get to share it with the class. You can be my classmates:)
Hope you’re having a great day!
I’m having a chalkboard giveaway too:)

Thanks for the inspiration!
Since I’m in Oz I can’t win the prizes, but I’m enjoying the process
Your Mother’s Day post was beautiful. It’s a great reminder that while we all do things differently, the one thing that unites us is that we all love our children and that being a mom is a wonderful thing.
Thanks ladies for hosting this! I’ve been enjoying it and it really has been getting me back into it!

Tiffany – The reason you liked your post is almost exactly the words I said about my post. I re-uploaded my post about breastfeeding that I originally wrote in response to another blogger. I think a lot of us are tired of everyone judging each other instead of supporting each other through the toughest job we have – being parents.
Great post!
Finally a moment to sit down and blog! Picked my favorite post ever…would love a few people to stop by and validate me!!!
