Today is the second day of the Canon Rebel T2i Giveaway and we’re showing off anything we’ve created for Halloween. It can be as complex as an entire Halloween costume or as simple as a carved pumpkin. I am proof that you don’t actually have to be crafty to try your hand at a simple project.
I love crafts.
I do!
I see magazine articles and crafty blog posts written by crafty bloggers and I think, I can SO do that!
I add ingredients to my grocery lists…ribbons and marshmallows and stickers and paint and all the things one might need to create magical pieces of Halloween spirit to be treasured for always.
The problem is that all too often what starts off like this…
often becomes this…
Not one to be easily discouraged, I might try my hand at this:
I’ll attempt to redeem myself with this:
And when I realize that crafting might not be my thing…I’ll try my hand at seasonal sugar cookies instead.
Because you have to be pretty talented to mess those up.
Errr…
I suppose there’s always next year…surely you can come up with something better than this, let’s see what you’ve got!
STEP ONE: Create a post describing something that you’ve created for Halloween. Anything qualifies…costumes, recipes, crafts, party invites, treats, decorations, whatever you can come up with!
STEP TWO: Link your Crafty post up below.
You can earn additional entries by:
- “Liking” SITS on Facebook.
- Tweeting the following message: Boo! I’m celebrating Halloween with @SITSGirls & entering to win a Canon Rebel DSLR camera http://bit.ly/dtwrjJ
- Starting or joining a conversation in our Discussion Forum.
- Participating in Day 1 of our Halloween Party and linking up a post describing your favorite Halloween memory.
The fine print:

You can tweet as many times as you like, Lindsey. You’ll just want to avoid getting too “spammy”.
Happy Sunday to everyone and I hope everyone is having a great Halloween!

Still loving the Halloween party! I hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween!
This post was too cute! I gave up trying to do crafts in magazines and make up my own…I had many FAILS!
Your “reality” pictures made my day!
Sorry, no Halloween craft here – Aussies don’t really do Halloween, or this one doesn’t anyway. But I just wanted to say that I totally relate to your craft efforts. I missed out on the craft gene too, to my everlasting disappointment.
We carved a pumpkin! No children yet to make costumes for.

@AirplanesAugust
Hah I love your attempts at crafting! They’re fantastic.
Want to hear something a bit tragic (in a truly first world kind of way)…I’m an American in Australia and I am allergic to Gluten (and a vegetarian…). I can find marshmellows that are gluten free. but not vegetarian OR marshmellows that are vegetarian but not gluten free. it’s depressing.

As a die-hard marshmellow fan, I feel your pain, Deidre. Keep the faith and keep looking.
This is not my year of crafts, but I will always have pumpkin carving!

Are we supposed to leave a comment that we like you on FB and tweeted? For some reason, there’s no like button on FB when I go there.
Twitter: SITSGirls
says:
Yes. Please leave a separate comment that you liked us on Facebook and tweeted, since both qualify as separate entries.
As for no like button on Facebook…hmmm. I’m not sure about that one. Here is the link:
http://www.facebook.com/SITSGirls
There should be a like button at the top of the page. If there is not, then you probably already “liked” us.
Haha love this – at least if you have kids you can blame it on them
We have so much candy in the house. We could open a store.
That was as crafty as I get.
