Today’s featured blogger is Ali’s Pet Kitchen. This foodie blogger has a whole new twist on cooking, keeping reading to find out more!
I’m a Doggie Mommie of four beautiful rescues and a happy wife living in L.A. (Lower Alabama). Caring for my dogs is a top priority, but with 4 that can get a bit costly. So, I started a journey to make healthy homemade treats for my pack. And along the way came this blog. The Healthy Dog Kitchen is written for dogs and owners alike to increase the bond between the two in a healthy, wholesome way. I dicuss topics such as nutrition and grooming, offer DIY dog treat recipes and also explore the mental, emotional and physical way our pets enhance our lives.

Happy SITS day!!
Happy SITS Day! Getting ready to stop by your blog. : )
Congrats on your SITS day! I was so happy to see your blog on here today. I have a Shih-Tzu that has been having seizures which have been attributed to the high sugar content in many dog foods. We have recently started preparing his food rather that buying commercial dog food. I can’t wait to check out your blog for some ideas!
Oh goodness Crystal! So sorry about your little Shih-Tzu! That is my mom’s favorite breed of dogs and I know they can be prone to food sensitivity. I hope that you can try some of the simple ingredient treats like frozen bananas or sweet potatoes. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
Happy SITs day! Great blog for animal lovers~ will share with my girls…who spoil their dogs!
Thanks, Renee! I spoil my dogs, too, as you can tell!
Happy SITS day!
Woof, woof! Thanks for dropping by, Bethany

Thanks Sandra! I am glad you liked my little blog of dogs!
Happy SITS Day Ali! Love your post about yawning dogs. Mine totally does ๐
Haha, thanks Beth! Who knew there was so much behind those doggie yawns! Thanks for stopping by on my day!
Really enjoyed the article about food that is safe for dogs at Thanksgiving.
Thanks, Sarah! I am very glad you liked my Thanksgiving article! Hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday.
Happy SITS day! Woot woot!
Woof, woof and thanks, Jen!
Happy SITS day! We have two dogs, they are Aussies, very mischievous and fun. Quicker than greased-lightening as they run and also to get into trouble. They were also rescued by a previous abusive owner and are now showered with lots of love and great care. We adopted them from the Pound.
Oh, fantastic Clotilde! Thank you for rescuing two Aussies – my sister-in-law works with an all Aussie rescue in Indiana and I know they can be a handful but they are sure worth it.
What a neat blog concept, Ali. Happy SITS Day!
Thanks so much for the vote of confidence on the blog concept, Kimberly!
Happy SITS day!
Thanks so much, Dana!
Happy SITS Day!
Woof, woof and thanks Rachel!
I’m not able to leave a comment on your blog, so here goes.
Frozen banana chip treats? Dig that! My daughter’s lab LOVES veggies and fruits. I have to be careful about what I give her (i.e., dogs can’t eat grapes), but bananas? Heck yeah! Don’t know that she’d want to wait till the chips were frozen, but it sounds like an amazing summer treat. Central Texas gets HOT in the summer.
We use Trifexis for our dogs. It’s great for heartworms, multiple wormy parasites, and an easy way to ward off pests. Both of our dogs are unusually fragile when it comes to flea bites. Fortunately, Trifexis takes care of that, too.
Happy SITS day. Love your blog!
Thanks, Laura! I saw Trifexis at the vet on our last visit and I wondered if it would work for my guys.
Happy SITS Day! I’m enthused to read a blog dedicated to fur babies. I’ve got a menagerie of cats, dogs, and horses. ๐
Thanks Laura! I hope you got some ideas from my site for all your fur babies!
I hope you are enjoying your day in the spotlight and planned for an entire day of comment response response ๐
Woof woof and you are sooo right about the responses, but it is so worth it! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy SITS DAY! Love your site! I am also from AL. In Texas now with my 3 rescue pups…
Woof, woof and Howdy former Alabamian! Thanks for the comment and for rescuing 3 little souls – I know they bring you a lot of joy!
Since I have two dogs, I am going to enjoy this one. Congratulations on your SITS Day.
Thank you! I hope you find something you can share with your 2 pups!
I wish I had a puppy every single day. So jealous! I used to make homemade treats for my dog when I was younger, and I had a blast. This is a great spin on the traditional mommy blog ๐
Thanks so much for your compliment and for stopping by!
I used to have a black lab named Java. We put her on a diet and incorporated frozen veggies into her diet (as suggested by the vet). Worked wonders and was fairly affordable. I bet there are lots of doggie treats under your Christmas tree!
Thanks for stopping by! Our dogs get more presents than we do at Christmas – haha!
hello! I don’t have any dogs of my own but work with a giant black Lab called Guinness a couple of days a week ๐ Well… I don’t work WITH him… he comes into the office and takes turns snuggling at our feet! haha!
Lovely to ‘meet’ you
Kerry x
It’s nice to ‘meet’ you, too! Guinness sounds like a great stress-reliever. Thanks for stopping by!
Happy SITS day! I have 2 lovable pups–two labs–one an older yellow and one a playful 1 year old. They keep us busy! I work from home and you can hear them barking from time to time–I figure it keeps the conversation real!
Woof, woof and thanks for stopping by! Sounds like you have your hands full!
