We started this series as a way to feature women who seem to be doing something right in blogland. These women are women that should never be overlooked when building your blogroll. They deliver on content, they consistently entertain, they make us think, they make us laugh, and more than anything they make us want to go back for more.
This month we’re recommending Kelle Hampton’s Enjoying The Small Things.
Enjoying The Small Things is a blog that forces you to step back and really see your own life and the beauty that exists in it. It began after the birth of Kelle and her husband Brett’s first little “sprite” Lainey and continued to grow and document their lives through the birth of their second gorgeous girl, Nella Cordelia, born just eight months ago with Down Syndrome.
Stunned by the news of their little ones diagnosis, Kelle has developed an admirable life motto that all of us would be wise to adopt, “…I have arrived at the very beautiful place of Life is hard. But it’s also amazing, and I will rock the hell out of it.”
And rock the hell out of it she does.
Kelle says, “I invest in this blog not only because I love the art of weaving words and images together to tell a story, but because, in doing so, I find myself looking more deeply for the beauty in life and consequently finding it in more places.”
From the time and care she puts into planning beautiful parties for her daughter Lainey, to her love affair with the Isle of Capris, Kelle brings life to her blog with gorgeous photography and has an amazing way of filling her posts with love that you can actually feel.
Enjoying The Small Things is about just that…seeing the beauty in every small blessing and feeling grateful for them. Kelle shows us what it means to truly celebrate life.

I know I’m a few months late but I just discovered this awesome entry. I am a firm believer that the word “disability” should be “different ability” because none of us are perfect to begin with. One person may be unable (disabled) to sing as well as another and so on.
Granted, some differences may be harder to deal with than others but who are we to say that someone’s life isn’t as special/fun/happy/loving as another’s?
Kudos to rocking life! The world needs more of that attitude. =)
i just got around to this post and thank god i did. her daughter;s birth story is one of the best pieces I have ever read. Amazing.
She is an amazing person. Her post about her daughter’s birth, Nella, is so amazing and truthful. I was riveted to my chair through the entire post. Also, I’ve sent it to a few of my friends that are mommas.
Wow! What an inspiring blog…I’m going to go read more.
Her pictures are great! I’ll definitely keep up with this one.
I stopped by her blog…the pics are breathtaking and her posts are inspirational. I will check back to read more in the future.
Love the photos! Such a great photographer!
Wow! What a wonderful family! I am heading over to check them out now!
I have loved Kelle’s work for months now. She honestly takes my breath away!
Enjoying the Small Things was the second blog I ever read. I cry almost every time I read it. She is such a talented writer and like you said, you can feel her love. It’s crazy!
I wrote about how she inspires my twice on my blog. Once being in our Back2Blogging challenge. She was one of the women that inspire me 🙂
Love, love, love her site!
Back to Blogging week was a ton of fun. I’m exhausted, but feel enriched and happy to have participated!
Kelle’s blog looks enchanting! Her photography alone is enough to lure me over, and I’ve always been fascinated by the Isle of Capri. Looking forward to visiting “Enjoying the Small Things”.
This featured blog is amazing. Truely amazing.
Wow. Very inspiring
I’ll be visiting.
Wow, what a great blog! I love the way Kelle expresses herself and will definitely add her blog to my list of favs!
Oh man. Nella’s birth story was absolutely the most beautiful thing I’ve ever read.
LOVE Kelle’s blog. The girls, the photos, how real everything seems, even when you know it may be glossed over. LOVE it.
Reading, watching, listening to her blog all really put me in a good mood! She is a fantastic writer with a positive attitude towards life! She seems like a magnificant person, thanks for sharing.
Happy Weekend!
Kelle’s photos look like they are right out of a glossy magazine!
I love the openness of Kelle’s heart and her passion for being in the present moment and meeting life there.
I love this blog. It’s so charming. definitely adding this to my reader.
Her photos are simply amazing! A great blog to read.
That blog is a treasure. I was so excited to go read a new blog from a parent of a child with Down Syndrome.
I have a son with Down Syndrome. I was only 20 years old when I had him. And single. I read her story about the birth of her daughter and tears rolled. I know the pain so well… Like it was yesterday, even though it was 20 years ago. She told the story beautifully. I read it all.
And her pictures are just amazing.
It made me realize I need to really tell my story.
I have already, but it was brief and doesn’t really give the whole picture. I always worry that my post will be too long and who will want to read it? Just like this comment. 🙂
WONDERFUL blog. Thank you for sharing.
I wrote about her for my Back To Blogging Day 4! I love Kelle! This blog is my fave!
Great FB!
Those are some amazing photographs!

This is wonderful – such beautiful photography! I’m going to check it out NOW 🙂
I hope everyone is having a great weekend!
