The fact that I was able to have a meaningful conversation, or at least contribute my part to one in a comments thread on a site that ISN’T your blog – related to one of YOUR posts truly captivates me and shows me just how amazing your posts must be. GOING NOW! Happy belated SITS day.

xoxo – from a fellow city girl

  • Love shining the light in how some Groupon “deals” aren’t really deals at all. And props to her for retuning the mistake bottles of wine! I’d like to think my moral compass points that way too, but I’m not too confident that I’d be able to resist free wine. 🙂

Amen to your Weddings are not fund raisers post. Weddings have somehow become a competition to outdo the Jones.

    • Cassandra says:

If I’m marrying a Jones, does that mean I have no competition? lol You know, for me, it’s not so much as being “Better” than any particular wedding, it’s when elements of my special day become elements of someone else’s special day – for example, the song I chose to be our first dance song – to be OUR song is “I Won’t Give Up” by Jason Mraz, because it encompass’s our live so well (he joined the military a little over a year ago and I had a very hard time adjusting, we had a rough first….. well… year of his new career) and my cousin chose the same song. I was a little disappointed. It just doesn’t feel as special anymore. It’s like going to an event and someone wearing the same dress as you – it just doesn’t make the dress seem as important.
