Thanks so much for the kind words, Emily! I kind of regret the strawberry shortcake one. Everyone keeps raving and all I can think is no more local strawberries til next spring!
Whoops! Messed up the link! Here we go!
Messed up the link! Happy SITS day again!

Hey Melissa – I’m a Philly native:) Happy SITS day. Love good food made with fresh ingredients. Heading over now!
Yay Philly! Thanks for checking out my blog. I went to La Salle and lived in South Philly for a couple of years before heading to Brooklyn. Would LOVE to move back but it’s “too small” for my husband. I keep showing him the cute row houses that cost less than the 1-2 bedroom places we’re looking to buy to convince him Philly’s better.
Have a great SITS day – looking forward to checking out your blog!
This sounds like the blog for me. I want to start a new challenge where I attempt to make more simple meals using fresh ingredients. Can’t wait to read more. Have a great SITS Day.
Fresh ingredients is all you need. Even making scrambled eggs with farm fresh eggs and the difference is amazing!
Ooh, I love your blog already and haven’t even visited yet! Happy SITS Day, Melissa! Good, local food should always be talked about π
Thanks Christy. Love your blog too! I’ve met and found so many awesome people through SITS–love it!
Happy SITS day!
Happy Sits Day! Can’t wait to check out your recipes! π
Hi Melissa! Happy SITS day! I love recipes! Especially when they use locally sources ingredients. Yummy!
Thanks Rabia! I try to stay as local as possible, though an avocado or two might slip in occasionally. Thanks for reading!
Well, of course! Avocados should also get a pass!!
*always…
Happy SITSday! Had a lovely visit to your site! xoxo
Thanks so much Karma!
Sounds like the blog for me! I’m not much of a cook, so the simpler the better. Recipes with unusual ingredients that aren’t already in my pantry tend to scare me away! Happy SITS day!
Thanks Heather! I try to keep things simple, mostly because I don’t want to have to deal with a thousand ingredients, but also because I like the flavors to stay pure. I do sometimes use a crazy ingredient (like foraged mulberries) because they intrigue me, but all in the name of staying local!
Happy SITS Day!
