Meet Cynthia from Commonplace Crazy. She claims to be a grandmother, but we’re having a terrible time believing it. She is just too pretty and young for that title!
Commonplace Crazy is a warm and cozy kitchen where I chat about spoiling grandchildren, teaching good grammar, and loving life. Through it all runs a sense of humor that laughs at life’s little absurdities, because in my life, crazy is commonplace. I love having readers come by for a visit, a cup of coffee, and a good laugh together.
Here are three not-to-be-missed posts from Cynthia:
- Got good grammar? Because as a former English teacher, Cynthia does and she’s super funny about the topic.
- Cynthia makes the world’s greatest pie crust. And you can too with this post.
- Keeping blogging in the family: Turns out that Cynthia’s daughter has her own blog too.

Don’t you find your career as a teacher inspires lots of posts? I do!
It inspires posts, headaches, nervous breakdowns…
I know Cynthia and am always asking her grammar questions!
Morning everyone. I am so glad to see Commonplace Crazy as the featured blog. I love her writing. She’s super funny and taught me how to use who/whom correctly. Off to say hello to her and a few more SITStahs. Everyone have a terrific Wednesday.

Love your blog title! Heading over to check it out now.
I just read a LOT of her grammar posts and they are great!
Thank you!!
Happy to see Cynthia’s blog, I just visited her on last Saturday’s Sharefest.
I, too, am commonplace and crazy. AND an English teacher!
OH! We’re going to be best buddies!
Happy Hump Day !
Oh, I am going to like you! I am a former English major. Good grammar is key. Although, on my blog, I must confess I have gone a little rogue with the fractional sentences. Happy SITS day!
I am a fan of sentence pieces. The key is to know the rules and choose which ones to break. It’s a big part of my writing voice.
It’s okay to break the rules for effect as long as you actually know the rules and know you’re breaking them. π
Happy SITS Day! π
Enjoyed visiting Cynthia’s blog. She’s doing REALLY well for just having started last year. I could learn a lot from her!
I am so bad at spelling lol most of the time I am blogging from my phone or doing 6 things at once and auto correct I am pretty certain has it out for me. Love the post.
And talking about bad spelling… I later realized I had spelled traffick instead of traffic… ugh! Embarrassing! π
As a former English teacher myself, can’t wait to read your grammar post!
Happy SITS day!
Happy SITS DAY!! I’m trying to get back into the groove of blogging after having a busy couple of weeks.
I love her blog! I really do! And I am obsessed with spelling and Grammar myself! But, since English is my second language sometimes I am afraid to leave a comment on her blog and make a mistake! LOL! I love it though and I am a follower already but I’ll stop by and wish her a “Happy SITS Day!” … (No grammatical errors there, right?) LOL
Oh, Paloma! Never be afraid to leave a comment. I love comments even more than I love grammar!
Happy SITS Day! It’ll be a good one!
{Melinda} As a Journalism major in college, I’m the “Grammar Police” too. Going now to read your post. Happy SITS Day!!
Happy Sits Day!!!
Happy SITS Day! Enjoyed, the grammar post.
Thanks, Whitney.
I’m so excited about this blog. I love grammar nerds. Happy SITS day!
Grandma? No way! And I can totally relate to crazy being commonplace! happy SITS day!
