Penny from I Could Be Fake is no stranger to the blogging community. Mom to three children and Army wife to one, blogging is a hobby she pours her heart into.
Why do you blog?
I blog because it’s an outlet for me and I get to meet people I would never meet otherwise.
What’s the story behind your blog title?
It came from a song I really love, Just Like You by Three Days Grace. The chorus goes:
I could be fake
I could be stupid
You know I could be just like you
Love it. It’s an angry song but at the same time makes me feel in control. My blog is about me being true to myself and being totally real, regardless of how it makes other people think of me. For a long time I have tried to please everyone and I haven’t always been true to myself. I have tried to mold and shape myself into what other people wanted me to be. My blog and it’s name is about me not doing that anymore.
How long does it take you to write a post?
Some posts take an hour, others, the most emotional and honest ones come quickly because it’s emotional and it just pours out.
Have you ever written a post you regret writing?
I don’t regret anything I’ve posted. If I’m not willing to share or get honest feedback, I just won’t post. There are posts I was afraid of publishing at the time, but I don’t regret posting them.
Are you fake? 😉
I am not fake, as my title would imply. I could be though, if I wanted to 🙂

SITS is in transition! We’ve got big plans for our community and CANNOT WAIT to share them with everyone. As we prepare for this change, we are stripping down the site. For example, you’ll see that the forum has been temporarily disabled.
All will be back soon enough….and it will be worth it!

What a cute family!
Been gone all week for the holidays. Its time to catch up and check out all the cool blogs from last week
Here goes… 😉
Excited to go meet her through her blog!
Being fake is something I struggle with daily. I try very hard to put myself out there, it is very scary. I tried for years to make myself what everyone else wanted me to be, but I woke up and thought no one really cares, but me. So, you can like me or not this is just me.
Great blog!
I’m struggling with being fake right now. Being true to myself would mean cutting someone very important out of my life at a time when I’m not sure I can bear it. But I am not sure I can be fake and just grin through the pain of it all, no matter how many people tell me it’s what I should do. 🙁
happy thanksgiving!
