Welcome to the first day of April!
Do you have a dream of saving the Earth, promoting world peace or just simply being a better person? If so today’s blogger Lazy Hippie Mama is the one for you.
I started this blog 2 years ago on a whim with the tagline, “One woman’s attempt to save the earth, promote world peace, and raise productive citizens without expending too much effort.” I never realized what a life changing experience blogging would become. Through lazyhippiemama.com I have had the opportunity to connect with thousands of other people who strive every day to learn and grow and make the world a better place. The blog has become a joy to me – a place of discussion and growth, laughter and love and community. I am thrilled for this opportunity to have even more folks join in the discussion!

Honey any woman that can home school is a GIANT among women! I am a lesser woman, I know myself and home schooling was not my ‘thing’ as a mother. I admire those that can do it! Hopping over to take a peek at your blog! Thanks for sharing!
A few days late….happy SITS day!
On my way over…
Hope you enjoyed it! ๐

Oh, happy belated SITS Day! I love the inclusion of words like joy, laughter, and love. Wonderful! ๐
I can’t imagine writing without those words… or the emotions behind them! Thank you for your kindness!
Happy SITS day!!
Thanks!
Happy SITS Day! My husband and I started a garden in the fall of 2012 and had a great yield come February. Unfortunately life got hectic and we haven’t kept it going. Since I gave birth to my son in November I’ve been eager to start playing in the dirt again. I’d love to be able to instill in him all of those important lessons that go along with gardening.
Aw! Congratulations. He will definitely benefit from growing up with a garden!
Happy SITS day!!!
Maria
Thank you!
Happy SITS. Headed to check out your blog! Can’t wait to meet other bloggers!
Happy SITS Day! Headed to your blog now ๐
Thank you. I hope you enjoyed it! ๐
Happy SITS Day! Love your blog design and your parenting approach. Don’t have kids, but when I do I hope I’ll be a cool (and informed!) mom like you ๐
Wow! I need to pay you to come to my house and convince my children that I’m cool and informed! LOL
Hi, happy SITS Day! Just visited your blog and liked your post 110 Reasons Why We Homeschool. My sister had to choose to do it because her little boy was being terribly bullied at school and he wept, begging not to be sent there. Homeschooling resolved the whole thing nicely. Now I have a friend who is homeschooling her brood. Your list of reasons might help other parents who are afraid to step out and try it, since it shows that the choice has merit and that it can be very good for the child. Wish you well with your blogging!
Thank you! I think it is such a personal choice and people need to be empowered to do what’s best for their family. It is a beautiful thing to live in a country where we have so many choices in the ways that we educate our children. I hope that we can keep it that way!
You are so right! It is wonderful that parents can choose what is best for their children, since they are the ones who know them best and love them the most.
Hope you had a wonderful SITS Day!
Thank you. I really did!
Happy SITS day!,
Thanks! ๐
Happy SITS Day! I Love It and am heading over to read “The Choir Needs Every Voice!”
I hope you are inspired by it! ๐
So happy to see you featured here. I subscribe to your blog, but had never read your tag-line. I love it. Congratulations on your SITS Day.
Thanks! I love it too. I think it suits me perfectly. ๐
Great post on getting kids into gardening. Now, if only the snow would melt!
I know what you mean! Somehow this winter feels like it’s been going for 2 years! I’ve never seen people so happy to see the first signs of spring!
Happy SITS Day!!! So amazing that you combined your passions into a blog. Can’t wait to read.
Thank you! It’s been such a fun journey!
Congrats on being featured and happy to have found your blog!
Thank you! I am happy you did, too! ๐
Great to see you on here! Happy SITS day:) I’ve visited you many-a-time but I’m gonna swing by again tonight just cuz it’s your special day, AND because I love your stuff!
Cheers girl!

Aw! Thanks! ๐
Happy SITS Day! I am reading your GMO article and I will leave you a comment when I get through it. You did your research! I studied GMOs and Monsanto in grad school in the ’90s – the argument for and against hasn’t changed. I’m interested to see what you conclude. Off to finish reading!
I look forward to your comment. I tried to present both sides as fairly as I could while admitting that I started out (and finished) a little biased. Interestingly, I was accused of being a Monsanto spy trying to ingratiate herself with the mommy blogger community after publishing this. I’m not sure what the woman’s logic was, as I obviously don’t sing their praises in this piece! The internet is certainly full of all sorts of people!
Happy SITS day!
Thank you! ๐
Happy SITS day!
Thanks a bunch! ๐
Happy SITS day! Enjoy!
Thank you! It’s been a lot of fun so far. ๐
Happy SITS Day! I love the tagline. Hope you enjoy your day as much as I did yesterday! ๐
So far it’s been great! It’s so nice to hear such a wide variety of new voices. ๐
Happy SITS day!!! Hope you are enjoying it ๐
I’ve been having wonderful fun. So many new voices chiming in to the discussion. It’s wonderful! ๐
Thanks for the crash course in GMOs. I especially appreciate the “What are we supposed to do with this info” section.
I hope you are having a fabulous SITS Day.
I’m glad you found it helpful. Sometimes all of the propaganda from both sides of such a hot-button issue make it hard to glean anything useful!
Loved your post about every choir having a voice! So positive and encouraging ๐ We all need to read more posts like that everyday. Thanks for sharing and Happy SITS day!
Tonya
What a lovely compliment! I have so many people in my life that life me up and encourage me. I love that I can use this space as a platform to pay it forward.
Happy SITS day!
Thank you!
I enjoyed visiting your blog and especially like your post on 110 Reasons why you home school! I home school as well and consider it such a privilege to be with my kids all day every day! Happy SITS Day to you!
It really is a joy. I understand that it is not right for every family but, for us, it has been one of the best choices we ever made.
I absolutely LOVE the name of your blog! So, so clever! I loved your list of reasons why you homeschool, so true. Every one of them!
Thanks! It suits me. Some days more lazy, some days more hippie. It all balances out. ๐
Very intrigued by your blog! Heading there now. Happy SITS day!
Thanks! I hope you enjoy it. ๐
I love your tagline! Happy SITS day and I am going to head over and check out your blog — cheers!
Thank you! I hope you enjoy it. ๐
