Tatiana from Life of Toi {life is more that The Baby Plan} is a believer in being mindful living. From trying to conceive and moving away from London, to getting fit and writing her story, read more about what makes this blog more than the baby plan…ย
Where are you at with the baby plan at this point?
The baby plan is done; meaning after 11 months of frustrated TTC (trying to conceive) the seed settled where it ought to in March. Now, we are so happy because our first baby is due in November (you can read the announcement here). From the moment I found out I am preggo, the plan became how to keep my health and fitness level high throughout pregnancy and beyond (you can read how I try to have a Mindful Pregnancy here).
What can first time readers expect to find while visiting your blog for the first time?
I must confess, my blog is a work in progress just like my life. Initially, I focused too much on my journey through TTC, but then in March (just after we moved from Britain to Canada and before I found out I am pregnant) I decided to focus on my journey through life, this is how Life of TOI {life is more that The Baby Plan} was born.
Now, I write about our new life in Canada, how I try to keep fit, my pregnancy updates, healthy living, opinion on various aspect of life, my love story, my holiday travels and the music I enjoy listening to. I am also learning to cook as a home goddess does, researching which cloth diapers to use, getting ready to breastfeed, how keep my boobs perky and how to decorate my babyโs room. I guess posts on those topics will be appearing soon.
You say you’re an aspiring published novelist, what do you imagine you would write about?
I would like to write novels that focus on life, love and race in places like Italy โ I was brought up there and the place inspires me a lot. I like stories that donโt sit comfortably on your skin, but make you shift inside. Stories that capture the pains and psychological turmoil of the characters. Stories that allow the characters to overcome life adversities, making them see the positive side. Stories can inspire others.
What are your favorite type of posts to write?
Posts in which I question and reflect on many issues such as motherhood, feminism, relationship, healthy living and life. My love story post, they take me to the emotional journey that led me to these happy moments I am living right now. I also enjoy writing my pregnancy updates because these posts are like letters to Berry, my baby’s nickname.
What do you love most about blogging?
The community that brings along, I am getting to know wonderful people through my blog โ and I really hope I can meet some in real life. The platform on which I can express my feelings and ideas and then get feedback through comments โ I LOVE comments, even if to say hello. I love blogging because it keeps me sane and is allowing me to come out of my shell and growing into a better person.

Wow, can’t wait to check out your blog! It seems like we have a lot in common!
My favorite topics to write about are also about motherhood and feminism. The weird thing is, I always thought feminists were weird and never thought I was one. It wasn’t that long ago it struck me, “wait a minute…I THINK I AM ONE!!! And a fanatical one, at that!” haha
Love life and race in other countries and cultures is also a topic I LOVE. I can’t wait to read your novel!
Congratulations on the pregnancy! Looks like a great blog! ๐
Congrats on the pregnancy! I am wowed that she would be willing to let people know about her struggle to conceive. Sounds like a really great blog and great girl, too!
Congrats…im a follower of your blog and love all of your mindful living! keep
Greg and I have TTC since we’ve been married. Still not pregnant, looking into maybe foster care ๐ There’s a lot of love to give to children who need it. Looking forward to reading her blog ๐
Thank you for sharing. So glad that seed is planted. YEAH and congrats.
Glad she’s finally gotten her wish– pregnancy! Woo-hoo! Congrats, Toi!
Love her baby’s nickname. ๐
I love that she is just as scared as I am of TTC and yet she’s there anyway. ๐ So wonderful to see I’m not alone.
I think I need a baby plan.
Congratulations! Life will NEVER be the same again (after November) – and you will become so much more than you EVER imagined!!!! I miss having excellent reasons to crave ice cream in all forms!
Congratulations on your pregnancy! I started getting more health conscious during my first pregnancy. By the third, I started dreaming of my own organic garden!
my baby is due in november too!!! i was definitely healthier with my first two pregnancies, this one is like a tornado, but pressing through!!
Looks like a goodie. On my way!
I can relate to her pregnancy troubles. I have been having some problems even attempting to conceive right now (single person) so I just started taking some fertility and chasteberry pills. Congrats on being the featured blog. It was well worth it and I enjoy reading your entries! Take care and congrats on the pregnancy and little Berry!
Great blog! Can’t wait to check it out.
