Here is what Ellen wants you to know:
I started Baby Meets City, a blog about my experiences with urban parenting in New York City,ย about two weeks before the arrival of my first child. We’re now on to Baby #2 and the adventure only continues! Life in the Big Apple is exciting, frustrating and smile-inducing all wrapped into one — throw in a couple kids and what you have is pure chaos. Good thing I wouldn’t have it any other way. ย As a side project on the blog, I am (slowly) reviewing every children’s book based in NYC. ย Thanks for checking out my site!

I live upstate in the boonies but visit the city a lot. Always wondered how parenting is different there.
I love the idea of reviewing children’s books set in NYC!
Off to visit.
She sounds fab–on my way over!
I’ll never forget the first time I took my toddler to New York! Central Park. FAO Schwartz….We had a blast!
Look forward to checking out your blog. Happy SITS Day!
Cheers,
Kristina
I don’t have little ones yet (some day!) but I can’t imagine what it would be like raising them in a big city. Strollers on public transport – the horror!

I love to live vicariously through NYC based blogs. Off to check it out now!
Here!
i love to live in nyc, that’s my dream.
I miss living in the big city!
Chaos always happens when kids are around.
I love the energy of NYC and I can just imagine how much more that gets amped when you have kids in tow ๐
I used to teach in NYC and I often wondered what it would be like to raise kids there. Of course then I moved to suburbia to raise my own, so your blog will be my glimpse back into that urban life I occasionally miss!
I was born and raised in San Francisco and the outer parts of the Bay Area, so for a long time the city life is what felt the most home-like to me. Now having lived for a while in the “country” going back to the city makes me twitch!
Though I do miss the excellent transportation… I hate having to spend so much money in gas! ๐
Oh yea! I love NYC-going now to visit her!
happy sits day!
Oh my . . . is it Friday yet?
Much better day today. Reading a few blogs before I turn in.
Hello everybody! This Friday a big contest is to be announced on my blog, keep tuned.
I love NYC and would be lying if I said I wasn’t just a teensy bit jealous of your raising your family out there. ๐ Congrats on the new addition!!
What a great photo! I’m off to check her out!
Love the idea of big city living, probably couldn’t handle the reality with much sanity or grace though.
Congratulations on the arrival of your new baby girl! ๐
I love NYC! I secretly always wanted to live there! Kudos for you doing that and with children!

Having lived in the city pre-mommyhood, I am looking forward to reading your thoughts, Happy SITS day.
Here!
I’ve always dreamed of having a family in the Big Apple. I can just imagine checking out all the latest fashions with my little ones in tow. Hitting up all the mommy-kiddie events. Can’t wait to check out this blog.
While at times I think where we are is too rural, I can not imagine being in NYC! I would panic!
Must be exciting to be living in a big city.
I’m not a mother, gimme a couple years. But I love NYC and books!
