I started Baby Meets City, a blog about my experiences with urban parenting in New York City, about two weeks before the arrival of my first child. We’re now on to Baby #2 and the adventure only continues! Life in the Big Apple is exciting, frustrating and smile-inducing all wrapped into one — throw in a couple kids and what you have is pure chaos. Good thing I wouldn’t have it any other way.  As a side project on the blog, I am (slowly) reviewing every children’s book based in NYC.  Thanks for checking out my site!

    I used to teach in NYC and I often wondered what it would be like to raise kids there. Of course then I moved to suburbia to raise my own, so your blog will be my glimpse back into that urban life I occasionally miss!

    I was born and raised in San Francisco and the outer parts of the Bay Area, so for a long time the city life is what felt the most home-like to me. Now having lived for a while in the “country” going back to the city makes me twitch!
    Though I do miss the excellent transportation… I hate having to spend so much money in gas! 😀

    I’ve always dreamed of having a family in the Big Apple. I can just imagine checking out all the latest fashions with my little ones in tow. Hitting up all the mommy-kiddie events. Can’t wait to check out this blog.
