The name of today’s featured blog pretty much sums it up for us: Parenting is a Big Deal.

The name of my blog was born the day, about two weeks into parenting, when my husband looked at me wide-eyed and said, “wow…this is a really big deal.” Indeed, I write because parenting, those moments big and small, funny and heart wrenching, truly matter. My husband, the littlie, and goofy, lovable dog named Bella and I live in beautiful Boulder, Colorado where we run (ahem, we try), hike, mountain bike, ski, and generally enjoy the outdoors when we’re not freakishly adhering to our guy’s nap schedule or swamped with snot, poop, or any other such bodily function of our child. I’ll tell you one thing, though, love abounds here, so won’t you join me?

    Love your little BIO, we live in Denver and used to live in the flat lands of Illinois, I have tried to run since I moved here but gosh I have a hard time. We do live in a beautiful state though and I love Boulder.

    As for the parenting we were the same with the nap schedule we still are set about our 5 year olds bed time, who wants a tired emotional grumpy child, ummm not me!

      Oh my gosh, AMEN. No one wants a grumpy, emotional child- let alone it being so emotionally unhealthy for the child to feel that way all the time! I could totally get on my little soap box about how important I think sleep is. But I’ll save it for when I’m feeling super fiery;). I hope you’re enjoying Denver- I grew up south of Denver in the ‘burbs.

    Such an orable baby you have!!:) and it definitely hit us how big of a deal parenting is a few weeks after having our daughter! Also, it’s the most rewarding thing ever<3 happy sits day!
