We love learning from our International Bloggers here on SITS, and Reenie is no exception. ย Reenie shares her musings and photos on her blog,ย Reenie’s Scribbles. ย Reenie proudly callsย Australia home and invites us all to visit her wonderful country. ย Reenieย gave up on categorizing her blog; all she knows is that her blog exists because she likes to write.
You are fromย Australia.ย ย What are some fun tidbits that those of us who have never been there would find interesting?
Oh, where do I start?! It is a beautiful country with lovely beaches, greens and sunlight- but to me the true beauty of Australia has always been her people.ย ย It is a wonderful place with wonderful people all around- Aussies are a casual, fun, happy-go-lucky, barbeque-ing, beer-drinking nation. And I have come to appreciate them from their โgโday mateโs to their โfair dinkumโs to โno worriesโ {some common phrases that are abundant here that others may find different from what they hear every day}.
I invite everyone to come and visit. Trust me, Australia deserves it and so do you :). However, while weโre at it- Australia is my โadoptedโ country. I was born and brought up in a country in Asia- but as far as identifying myself with a place is concerned- itโs Australia- hands down!
How was your blog “born”?
I started blogging many years back withย LiveJournalโฆ just as a mean of documenting my life- however โinsignificantโ it maybe. I have since moved from LiveJournal and started a brand new blog with blogger about a year back. My blog has evolved as I have. My blog is private though- other than a handful of people- no one who knows me personally- knows it exists.
Tell us about your 52 Photos Blogging Challenge.
It was a challenge started by me- the plan was to post a photo for the given topic once a week. The initiative is suspended for now though; but I plan to resume it back again soon.
What do you enjoy most about blogging?
Blogging is my outlet. I like talking about little things in my blog- things that are so little that they otherwise get lose. Years after, when I read old posts- I relive the happy moments; likewise I understand myself more too when I read the sad ones. At the risk of sounding like a psychopath- blogging sometimes gives me perspective in my (still continuing) journey of *finding myself*.

Beautiful blog! I can’t wait to see more from the other side:)
I’ve always thought a trip to Australia would be wonderful … no I can take a cyber-trip! ๐
I have been to Australia. I loved Sydney, and could easily move there. I cant wait to go back and do a trip through the wine country!
The Aussie life sounds a little familiar. Distance doesn’t seem to factor in when you’re talking about enjoying life. I love the fact that you blog incognito. It obviously makes for amazing content. And your footprint in the sand is far reaching.. Keri
I had no idea the international blogging community was so large!
“casual, fun, happy-go-lucky, barbeque-ing, beer-drinking nation”-
