  • I find that having a notebook to log in everyday is helpful.
I log what I did for the momemt, day, and future plans. This helps to organize your thoughts and accomplishments for the day.

When I have a great idea about something, I draw
a lightbulb symbol on that page and go back to it later. It’s easy to forget things when there’s so much to do.

I make sure I note the date on each page and sometime even the hour.

You can also sqeeze in a framed box on the page
of your “home list” or even your shopping list.

On the top of each of my pages of my notebook, I have a word list of words I have mispelled from my speller check so that I will go over that word or make a note of the spelling, so as not to repeat the same mistake. I also place important links or resource info in that same place-the top of the notebook.
Try to get a 5 subject notebook so as to keep it for a long time and have one small notebook to carry with you-in your purse or in the car- to
have available for ideas that “hit” you all of a sudden.
    I hope these tips helps.

  • My tip is to be yourself! I love reading blogs that I can really feel the writers personality coming through in!

No tip. I have so much to learn it’s sort of sad lol. I’ve been blogging for a while but I use to be totally computer challenged. My son set everything up and I just typed. Now he’s married and I had to learn it all myself. It’s super fun and sometimes I make a mess of it. I’ll get better. I’m learning all the time and appreciate what this group has to share THANK YOU!

  • I believe if you comment on other blogs, they’ll return the favor =)

  • Missy says:

My best blogging tip came from your posts. I think my biggest blogging question is how do I make a blog button? I’ve been learning how to do some blog design, but I’m not sure how to get a code for my button.

  • Adriel says:

Keep a word document of all of your post titles and URLs for quick interlinking later (and update once a week or so). If you want to get really fancy… do it in a spreadsheet and include a column to enter in a subject or tags, etc. for quick referencing later. (I’m not that organized… just the simple list for me.) 😉

My tip as a total rookie – never underestimate the power of your words ! When we first start we can be very blog shy, but once you get the hang of it and are able to freely express what you think and feel without having a “know it all” attitude, it helps getting people involved in your blog and spikes traffic, followers and comments ! 😀

Ahh, comments – every comment just makes my day !

  • Emma says:

My advice is to be true to yourself and write from the heart. If you aren’t then people soon pick up on it!!! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

  • Great tips!! I agree with most of them and don’t have much wisdom to add. I enjoy learning from everyone here.

  • Sarah says:

I love reading everyone’s tips…as I am a super newbie. Love love love this site!

  • Tip? I dislike tips in general, but here is mine:

Work on drafts using Windows Live Writer and then publish when you have it just the way you like it!

  • Penny Lane says:

I am here, even if it is a day late. I am enjoying readin the tips!

  • regina dixon says:

all of these tips are fantastic. my tip would be to spread the love and comment back on others blogs. if you don’t comment on others blogs you can’t expect people to comment on yours. Also, I have been able to draw new readers to my blog by reaching out to new blogs. My goal used to be 4-5 new blogs a week but then that got out of hand. Now I just try to keep up with the blogs I love, friendships I have built, and reach out to new blogs every so often. Leaving comments is a must though. 🙂

  • Angie says:

If you are stating an opinion and backing up with facts- make sure they are verifiable or you may get into a comment war! 🙂

  • Best tip is scheduling posts! Really helps you to get organized and ahead of the game.

  • artsy_momma says:

My tip is to make sure you check your spelling 🙂

  • Texan Mama says:

Happy Saturday. OrFriday. Or whatever day.

  • hotpants™ says:

My best tip is to comment on other people’s blogs as much as you can. You’ll make friends and gain followers.

  • I guess my advice is to have a regular schedule. Even if you only post twice a week, try to make it the same two days a week. This is something I just learned and thought that I should share!

  • Gina says:

My best tip is to just WRITE WELL. Good writing will attract repeat readers, and repeat readers will send their friends, etc. Bad writing plus lots of followers means squat.

  • Gillian says:

My tip is an old tried and trusted writing tip: Shut the door! Not literally (although maybe that too) but metaphorically. Instead of wondering who you’re trying to please (all those sponsor companies?)focus on why you came to it in the first place, what is pleasurable for YOU to write about, and write from the heart.

Well, I’m here a little late, but I’ll still leave me blogging tip. The biggest thing that I have noticed is that I need to blog consistently. Where it’s everyday or almost everyday…because readers forget about you if you are sporadic. Whether it’s a little or a lot…do it!
