Hey all of you fab SITS-tahs! It’s Jessica from Fantabulosity again! Since I’ve been blogging for close to three years, I’ve developed a few techniques on how to reach my blogging goals, and I want to share them with you!

Learn how to reach your blogging goals in five easy steps. You can grow your blog and make money blogging.

5 Steps To Help You Reach Your Blogging Goals

1. First and foremost, you have to have PASSION. You know the saying, “Do what you love?” When it comes to blogging, that statement couldn’t be more true. Blogging can be hard. Blogging can be time consuming. Blogging can be REWARDING.If you are missing the passion for what you are blogging about, you may not ever reach the “rewarding,” feeling. You could get board, overwhelmed, and just flat out, burned out. If you’re new to blogging, thinking about starting a blog, or have been blogging for years… make sure you are passionate about your blogging. Find that niche, that makes you want to jump out of bed in the morning, to get on your computer and get your fingers a tappin’.

2. DEDICATION. You better be dedicated. Does this mean, “live on your computer?” Nah. But you must remain dedicated, by creating posts often and making an appearance on social media as much as you can. If you aren’t showing up in peoples inbox’s and newsfeeds, they’ll forget about you. You don’t want to that to happen.

3. BE CONFIDENT. I didn’t learn this until late in to my blogging career. If you’re not confident in yourself, and your blog… no one else will be. Do you lie when you’re talking to other bloggers and brands, and say you have more pageviews than you actually do? Oh goodness no. But you do want to sound confident when you tell them how many you have. For example:

Brand: Sure we’d be interested in working with you Jessica. Tell me, how many pageviews do you have a month?

Jessica: Excellent! {Insert blog name} is growing like crazy! I’m so ecstatic to say it has grown rapidly from when I first started. Currently {blog name} has 50 pageviews a month, and is also part of large Facebook & Pinterest sharing groups that can drive some major traffic for ultimate exposure for your brand!

You see what I did there? I could have said:

Jessica: Sure. I have 50 pageviews a month. I know it’s not much, but it’s growing, I promise.

Now which one sounded better? Same amount of pageviews in each answer, but I’d want to work more with the first answer, than I would the second. Wouldn’t you? 😉

You also want to talk highly of your blog, in any conversation setting you may be in. Again… don’t lie, and don’t sound arrogant, but DO be proud of your work and success. If you’re proud of it, other’s will be too, and they’ll want to follow something that you’re proud of.

4. Treat it as a Business. You may not be blogging for an income. But no matter what you’re blogging for, you should have goals.  No matter what your goals are, I firmly believe that you should treat it as a business to reach the goals you have. Get/Create business cards, start signing up for emails and subscription accounts, using your blog name. The more your “business” name is out there… the more you’ll build your business. Remember… the more your name is out there, the less of a chance people will forget it.

5. Quality Content. I can’t STRESS this enough. When I first started blogging, I would post “stuff,” just to get words up on my blog. Yet I couldn’t figure out why no one was visiting my blog to read it. Well… it was quite possibly because I had no “thought,” or “heart,” behind my post ideas and content. If you are not excited about what you’re writing about, I almost bet that no one else is excited to read about it.

Since then I’ve been more mindful about what I share on my blog. Two of my most popular posts are Woodland Friends First Birthday Party and my Lobster Bisque Recipe. What are your most popular posts?

Until next time SITS-tahs! XO
