Happy Saturday, SITS-tahs! How is January treating you so far? It seems many have been struck down by a particularly vicious flu season. I do hope you ladies look after yourselves and stay germ-free!
Last week’s first Sharefest of the year saw many sharing their resolutions, goals and one word aspirations. I hope you’re going strong with those.
Some highlights from last week
Frugal Foodie Mama makes some good points as to why mothers should NOT be keeping score sheets – yes, let’s just drop the working mom versus stay-at-home mom debate already, shall we?
Marie of Make Your Own Damn Dinner has a confession to make – maybe one that you can relate to? Hint: it has something to do with a British boy band. Ahem.
Are you allergic to exercise? Kimberly of Rubber Chicken Madness thinks she might be in this hilarious post!
Your turn to share!
Post a link to your favorite post of the week in the comments, then visit the commenter above you. Don’t stop at one, click on a few other links, you may meet a new friend! Let’s share the comment love.
And, donβt forget our #SITSSharefest Twitter Party happening at 10:00 AM EST / 7:00 AM PST on Saturday. Itβs a great way to get one of your posts some extra love on Twitter!
Happy sharing, reading, tweeting and have a great weekend!
Why I love this community and why I believe mom bloggers (and women in general) should support other mom bloggers. Enjoy!
Happy Sharefest, SITStahs! I don’t have a post to share this week since I had guests on both my blogs, but I will be by to check out some posts, anyway! π Have an awesome weekend! π
My favorite post this week was written after a tough day teaching – and thinking about the future effects of our over-testing culture on my own daughter. I’m Afraid of Kindergarten: http://toddlersummer.com/2013/01/07/im-afraid-of-kindergarten/
Can’t wait to read some of your posts!
Happy Sharefest!! I am sharing one of my favorite recipes, my gluten free waffles this time with pomegranate and a generous amount of vanilla and I am beyond happy with how my photos came out, my best yet!!

Happy Saturday everyone! This was my first full week back at blogging, driving, school, driving, working, and did I mention driving? Who’s glad it’s Saturday!!!!
Well, I posted twice this week – a big accomplishment for me. Can I brag just a little since I’ve known you guys so long? My friend and I were written up in the Ventura County Star about a new virtual cooking group we are starting called Tasting Jerusalem – they had us cook simultaneously while chatting on Skype since we live 300 miles apart. Lots of fun!

and if it’s a little chilly where you are, I posted a simple soup recipe. Have a great weekend!

I hope you will come join the fun.
Most of all happy Saturday Sharefest to YOU!

I wrote about the Canadian Inuit artist Kenojuak Ashevak who died this week, aged 85. She was born in an igloo, but became a world-renowned artist and was awarded some of Canada’s highest honours. I learned a lot about her this week, and even found a 1963 film that shows her and her family at their igloo with the northern lights as a backdrop…. captivating. (the film is linked in the post.)
Hope everyone has a great weekend! I’m off to a WordPress conference today, yay!
Happy Saturday Y’all!
Hi Sheila,
I tried leaving a comment on your site but for some reason I’m having technical difficulty. Didn’t want you to think I wasn’t doing my “sharefest” part! Lovely idea with your “first five” by the way, and it’s reminded me that I want to start sending small gifts to people as surprises π
Happy Saturday, everyone!
This week I wrote a post a lot of us can relate to…..
Happy Sharefest! Here is my favorite from this week: There are opportunities for creativity all around us … http://www.melissaedwards.org/imported-20120430010433/2013/1/10/opportunities-for.html

Good Morning + Happy Saturday!! Hope your weekend is off to a great start!! Today I’m sharing my toddler’s in-home photo shoot, and why aperture mode works best for me – as well as why capture kids in the their natural element is a better bet than at the portrait studio! For this shoot, I used the Canon 5d Mark III.

This is a tough one this week. While the post I wrote today definitely has a lot of poignant information and is more along the lines of how I generally write the one I wrote How You Know There’s A Teenager In Your Home got lots of great feedback and hits this week. So I guess I’ll go with that. Oddly enough I didn’t find it to be my best work, but others thought it was funny, which I wasn’t even going for. Small victory actually since I had a real hard time getting that one started. Maybe I need to try more posts like that. But if you feel like it also check out today’s post on my site, Does Having More Children Make You An Expert Parent?
Hi Monica. I just placed a comment on your site and I followed you on FB, Twitter and Pinterest. I can surely relate as I have 3 daughters myself – i have more tweens then teens but every single thing you wrote i can relate with. LOL, LOL, LOL
LOL thanks Melissa. And thanks for stopping by. My middle daughter hasn’t quite gotten to the status of her sister yet. She has her own tween ways though. Since so many liked this I’ll have to do a tween post I think ;).
My favorite post this week was on the Twilight: Breaking Dawn II Soundtrack. I had watched the movie the night before and of course did my research and discovered yet again, an amazing soundtrack! Plus, it was the perfect way to end the entire saga with style.

Good morning and Happy Saturday!
Blogging can be HARD! But even on the hardest day, I still love it! I’ve been making a lot of changes I’m excited about, such as:
-Starting a forum where we can discuss home decor, beauty, career and lots more
-Opening up spots for guest posts
-Launching an ad page (ads start at just $3 during January)
-Welcoming contributors
This week’s post is about headboard wall decals…it’s a genius idea! Please show Glam-a-Peel some love and check out their page. Thank you!
