3 Awesome Baked Doughnut Recipes

3 Baked Doughnut Recipes

Red Velvet Baked Doughnut Recipe

To begin, we will start with my favorite.  A donut based off of the Southern favorite, red velvet.  These donuts are the easiest because they don’t require making a frosting.  Just give them a simple roll in powdered sugar after they come out of the oven!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 C buttermilk
  • 1/2 C + 2 T oil
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 C sugar
  • 1 t cocoa powder
  • 1 t red food coloring
  • 1/2 t vanilla
  • 1/2 t vinegar
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/2 t baking soda
  • 1 1/4 C flour

Set oven to 350.  Liberally coat your donut pan with a nonstick spray.  Combine all ingredients and mix well.  Pour batter into a large zip top bag and snip the corner to make a piping bag. Pipe the mixture into the donut pan, filling each mold only half full.
