Welcome back to the second day of our holiday event! Before we turn our attention to the giveaway, we wanted to first introduce our SITStahs to Robyn from Imperfect Nest.
Robyn’s blog is dedicated to all of the pretty things in life. In fact, her passion for color and design spills into all aspects of her world…including holiday decor.
Today on her blog, Robyn is showing us how to make a wreath from coffee filters. Sound a bit odd? Perhaps, but wait until you get a look at the results…
After a little work, you too can have a beautiful wreath to display anywhere in your home. Check out Robyn’s post to learn how!
Now, about that giveaway…
On the second day of SITSmas, my SITStahs gave to me:
A giveaway from Tina Steinberg…
One of our lucky readers will soon be the owner of a beautiful Little Love Charmer Pendant with a short inscription included on back.
Coupling your child’s fingerprint with Tina Steinberg’s organic, antiqued jewelry leads to a simple, yet unordinary piece that you will treasure always.
I had an amazing opportunity to work with Tina when she came to my town and invited me to gather friends together for a mini jewelry party. Typically she completes the process by mail and sends her clients an easy to follow kit used for retrieving the finger print you want on your pendant, but I had the pleasure of meeting her in person. It was great to learn about the process and watching her talk to the kids about what she does.
I’m thrilled with the way the pendants turned out and am so glad I have their little prints all to myself. Just imagine how precious these will be when my babies are all grown up!
To enter to win your own Little Love Charmer Fingerprint Pendant, simply leave a comment on this post naming a treasured keepsake you’ve kept.
For extra entries, you can:
- Leave a comment on Tina’s Facebook page telling her whose little finger you’d like to imprint on a pendant.
- Leave a comment on Robyn’s featured blog post describing how to make a holiday wreath.
- Tweet this message: Merry SITSmas! Iโm celebrating the season with 12 Days of giveaways from @SITSGirls: http://bit.ly/ib05gE.
This giveaway will be open for 24 hours and is limited to U.S. residents only. We will choose one winner at random and contact her via e-mail. All SITSmas winners will be announced on our Facebook page daily.
If you see a piece from Tina’s collection that you simply must have, then why wait on the giveaway? Tina is generously offering our readers free shipping for today only. Simply place your order today using the code, SITS, and your items will be sent to you at no cost.

hey well its my hobby to keep all my beautiful jewelry pieces as after some years they will become a treasure for me. but the one treasured keepsake i love the most is my mother’s silver earrings. i seriously love them most
I love this idea for a necklace. How sweet!
I still have my dads fingerprint in a necklace from when he died.
Hand stamped jewelry is so classy!
That wreath is just too cool!
Is this creepy? My daughter’s teeth!
My favorite thing to keep are photos and items for scrapbooks of our family vacations with the kids. I save everything, tickets, brochures, anything that I can put in a book that will remind them of all the places we’ve been and things we’ve done.
I have several treasured keepsakes. One in particular is my father’s wedding ring. I was able to wear it and my fingers got too swollen to wear my own wedding ring!
I have so many keepsakes, treasures from the past that I can’t just name one. They range from a hat of my great grandfathers to a square dance top of my grandmothers & a baby shoe of my sons that one of my neighbors planted succulents in…Some I keep, others I remake (if they’re in poor condition, etc.) & refashion into new things, one of my favorite things to do ๐
I’m a bit of a packrat & kept so many keepsakes. I have baby clothes, toys & even a box of notes written during high school. My favorite is the blankie my first born carried for the first 4 yrs of his life. The poor thing is falling apart & has holes everywhere, but it’s quite obvious how much it was loved.
can’t wait to check out the design blog!
Christmas brings out the craft in all of us! The coffee filter wreath is very interesting and pretty.
happy Tuesday!!!!!stop by
OMG!!! I LOVE those!!! Off to comment!
I have my great aunts pearls and the diamond from my grandmother’s wedding band. I treasure them both!
I have my Great Aunt’s Grandmother’s wedding band and I love it!
All 3 of my children made me a heart necklace when they were in preschool. I love them dearly and pull them out to wear.
I am such a “pack-rat” according to my husband when it comes to keepsakes. I have a lot of my boys’ baby clothes that bring back SO many memories. I would truly adore a fingerprint necklace!
I have the hospital bracelets from when my son was born. He received a 1 on his first apgar so they are a reminder of how lucky I am to have a beautiful, healthy little boy.
These are great pieces, cute and meaningful.
I commented on Tina’s Facebook post!
A keepsake that I have and will always have is my grandma’s ring. My grandpa gave it to me when she passed away. I hope to have it made into a wedding band someday!
These necklaces are a fantastic idea! I have several treasured keepsakes:
1. The emails my husband and I exchanged when we were newly head over heels in love. I printed them out and stored them.
2. My grandma’s silver and diamond watch that my grandpa gave her on their 25th anniversary.
3. The black pearl and diamond earrings and necklace I wore on my wedding day and that my daughters will hopefully wear on their own wedding days.
I’m wearing a pendant right now that my grandmother had on when she arrived in this country in 1922!
Well I guess i’m a little late..but it is good to be back. Hopefully I will remain more consistant.
I have my scrapbooks that my mom has made of me while growing up! They are very special to me
That wreath idea is so clever!
That looks beautiful! I’ve been extra good this year.
I like Robyn’s post. I’m glad to learn a new thing from here. Christmas is truly in the air! The Philippines prepare for it way in advance and I’m glad that it is also the same thing here in SITS. ๐
What a clever keepsake idea!
The only true keepsake I have is a collection of my grandmothers china that she left to me.
I have the bottle cap from the first soda my husband bought me.
I thought he was soooo cute so I kept it! It is now a necklace
a little late, but here I am!
i have earrings from Italy that my mother gave me that are very special to me.
these are marvelous ideas!
I’ve got so many items I’ve been lucky to inherit from my family. They’re all special and I take great care of them so I can pass them to my kids when the time comes!
I have so many keepsakes. Hollie is 20 & I have 3 scrapbooks on her (I was making scrapbooks before scrapbooks were even cool-started in 1990), plus a journal I kept until she turned 13, plus a chest that I have keep her very special baby outfits & other keepsakes in.
April is 14 & I have 2 scrapbooks for her, plus a journal that I’m still writing in, plus a chest will her very special baby outfits & other keepsakes in. (If there was ever a fire in my house, I would not leave without these 2 chests).
Plus, I have my grandmother’s Mother’s pin.
That wreath is amazing! And those pendants are beautiful. My keepsakes have just been put away. I kept my son’s hat from the hospital as well as some other little trinkets from his birth. They bring the moment right back to me ๐
I must say this is a lot of stuff going on. It makes my head spin.
All I have to say is “It is finally cold in Mississippi!!” Yeah!!
Drat these US only contests! ๐
That’s so sweet!!
I have a weather house clock that I have had since I was a little girl – it now hangs in my son’s room.
I have a silver locket with my kid’s baby pictures inside. I’d love to win this for my daughter.
Hope all are having a wonderful day!
I commented on her FB page and now I “like” it too! Great giveaway!

Oh I love this idea, I’ve seen similar ones throughout the blogging world but this one is by far my favorite.
A treasured keepsake I’ve kept is a beautiful vintage handkerchief that was my grandmother’s. The inscription on it is a K in a light blue scroll design. I don’t know why it has a k as my grandma’s name didn’t start with a k but mine does & it sure was special to receive from her.
I have my great-great-grandmother’s engagement ring, and I’m really looking forward to passing it along to my (currently non-existent) daughter or granddaughter.
This necklace is also something that I would LOVE to be able to pass on.
