Update: This giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to Amber from Whispering Writer. She is the winner of our $75 gift certificate. Hooray!
Things are a changin’ here in the land of SITS! Tiffany, Kat and I have been hard at work over the past few months brainstorming on which direction to go next. Although featured bloggers will always be a focus for us, our goal is to offer the best possible online experience for our SITStahs, one filled with more education, interaction, discussion, and support.
What this means is that within the next few weeks we will be revealing a brand new SITS to our community. It is something we are beyond excited about!!!
In preparation for this, you’ll notice some changes happening immediately on SITS, such as the forum being off-line. This is being done so that we may make updates on the back end of the site.
You might have also seen that The Vintage Pearl giveaway we posted on Saturday is suddenly missing comments!! If you’d still like to be entered into our giveaway for a $75 gift certificate, simply leave a comment telling us why you are thankful this holiday season.
I’ll even lend you a hand with a few ideas….
So go ahead and play along! Everyone could use something beautiful from The Vintage Pearl this holiday season!
For extra entries, you may:
1. Tell us a second reason why you are thankful this holiday season on our Facebook fan page.
2. Tweet this message: What am I thankful for? Definitely @thevintagepearl #giveaway from the @SITSGirls! http://bit.ly/9Zk5Eh. Once done, leave a comment on this post saying that you sent out the tweet.
Restrictions:
Spam is bad. Limit your comments on SITS and on Facebook to one per day. Also keep your tweets to within reason.
The contest will stay open until Saturday, November 27 at midnight PST. One winner will be selected at random and notified via e-mail.
Good luck!

What a lovely giveaway!
On a day with such severe storms going on, I am grateful for a warm, cozy house to shelter our family and our assorted pets. I know there are many who don’t have that luxury in these hard times.
I’m thankful for my family. Especially my husband. He’s been my light in the darkest of places.
On a shallow note…I am also thankful for chapstick. Or should I say that my lips are thankful for chapstick. My husband likes it, too. 🙂
I am thankful this holiday season that my family is healthy and alive!
I guess the one thing I am most thankful for, after being saved and redeemed by the Lord, is that I have such a fantastic relationship with my kids. I can’t think of anything in a mom’s life more important, or more life-impacting, than that.
Oh, how exciting! Can’t wait to see what the new site will look like!! 🙂
More Stocking Stuffers! Christmas wouldn’t be complete without Rudolph!! Blog Post

I am thankful for my new mother-in-law that despite her brain aneurysm and stroke two weeks before I married her son, she is still miracously with us. Still gracious. Still loving with her full mind intact.
I just adore her and her strength. What a blessing she is to everyone she meets.
We may not have a Thanksgiving meal in her hospital room, but we will definitely give thanks for her presence this holiday. Maybe we can sneak in a turkey slice or two….
I am thankful for my family of course. Especially the love and support from hubby and DD.
This sounds fantastic, both the giveaway and the changes to come! Very excited!
I am thankful for my beautiful baby boy! He is everything and so much more than I could have ever have hoped for! I look forward to each and every new moment through his eyes!
Ha, I had an experience yesterday that I don’t intend to repeat anytime in the future…I got lost out in the woods and Search and Rescue had to be called. THANK YOU GOD for cell phones I was able to periodically get service so I could tell them what was around me (like it helped) there was trees and I was on a ridge…hahaha!! But anyway, I got found and even before the storms and poring rain started. So I am thankful to be ALIVE and hearty and whole.
I tweeted! I’m thankful we have a place to call home and food on the table and most of all I’m thankful that I have two healthy girls and a family I can count on.
i’m thankful for days off!
I’m thankful that I’m pregnant and that my husband and I have started our own family
I love the vintage pearl…everything is so cute! I’m thankful to have a roof over my head in these times of unrest!!!
I’m thankful for finding the one and keeping us safe during this deployment, not to mention wonderful family and friends!
I’m thankful for my parents, helping me out as I face the worst new graduate unemployment in 17 years! Great…

I’m actually thankful to have the kids home for an entire week. Currently they are decimating the kitchen, making turkey-shaped placecards for our Thanksgiving dinner.
I’m thankful for my sewing machine and so many upcycle ideas for gifts this year. It feels so good to stop shopping!!
I’m thankful for new opportunities, good health, family, and friends!

I already left a comment on the SITS Facebook page.
I am thankful for my job. At the beginning of the year I was very unhappy with what I was doing and knew I needed to go in a new direction, but had no idea what, if anything, would come up. A little ways into the year my boss told me he was selling the company and I would be out of work. Very fortunately for me I got an interview in my field and the stars aligned for me to start the new job as the old job was ending. I am very, very thankful that God worked all of that out for me.
I’m thankful for my houseful of kids even though it is supposed to me Mommy time and no one is napping!
I’m thankful that it’s Tuesday and I only have one more day of work this week!!! That was my first thought when I woke up this morning.
Thanks for hosting and running this site-and for all ya’ll do!!!
I’m thankful that I have my family, we’re together, and we have our health.
