So my sis is having a baby!

Her first baby, after TTC for 2 years, so it’s very exciting.

Plus, she is having a girl.

And, since I have a boy, this works out quite well for the part of me that wants to dress him up in pink and leopard print…

Her best girlfriends from high school and I joined forces to through her an adorable baby shower.

We were inspired by bright pink lemonade and lime green, and I think it came out simply adorable.

A few days ago, I shared that fabulous cheese plate with you… today, I am going to talk beverages.

So often, we just go to the old stand-by of soda, coffee and water. Would you believe it if I told you that we didn’t serve a single diet coke and everyone survived?

It was an outdoor afternoon shower, so we decided to go with champagne and a bunch of yummy option to mix it with, our drink on their own.

The large apothecary jar dispenser {how cute is that btw?} is sparkling pink lemonade from Trader Joe’s (this stuff is awesome and tasted fabulous mixed with the champagne}. We added fresh strawberries to the mix and it was a huge hit.

Of course, we also offered good old OJ to mix Mimosa’s- that new Trop 50 is awesome- great taste and 1/2 the sugar and calories. There was also a variety of flavored iced teas and another goodie from Trader Joe’s- Blood Orange Soda. Of course, we had pa pitcher of cold water available as well.

Now for adorableness we put the yummy drinks in…

I have been obsessed with paper straws and LOVE these with the pink and white polka dots!

We did need to trim them down to fit with the cocktail cups, but I think it works…

To add a little baby deliciousness to the beverage table, we hung a clothesline behind the table with little onesies and shoes and burp cloths. I think it can out divine. A decorations that the mom to be can take right home.

And? How cute is that banner? “Piper Jane”. *Sigh*

Here’s a close up of the clothesline.

Those clothespins are covered in scrap book paper. {I know. So cute.}

Next up?

The decorations and games!
