One important part of taking your blog to the next level is understanding your analytics. You need to be able to understand how many people are coming to your site every month, what they are reading and how long they are staying on your site. We often think that page views and unique visitors is the most important factor but your bounce rate is also important.
What is a bounce rate? Your bounce rate is the number of people that visit your site and then leave. The goal is to have your bounce rate as low as possible. The lower your bounce rate the more engaged your readers is. Wondering how you can improve your bounce rate? This post has tips on how to do just that!
Tips on Improving Your Bounce Rate
All bloggers want to create engaging content that makes people want to stick around on their blog rather than clicking away after just a few seconds. But how do you do that? Bounce rate refers to the percentage of your visitors who leave your blog without clicking over to check out another page, and this post explains how to reduce this percentage.

I’ve been working on reducing mine for all the one page views I was getting from Pinterest. I found the related articles at the bottom of the post and having featured/popular posts on the sidebar of the website really did help to reduce my bounce rate.
liked and shared this article. My website on Google analytics shows 66% of bounce rate. I reduced it to 40%. thnx
I’ve recently just improved my mobile bounce rate, which was around 57%!!! I learned my child theme that was “mobile responsive” was a hot mess and impossible to navigate. I installed a plugin for a mobile site, and it was down to 52% in less than a month.
Great tips!

Help!! Someone visited my blog from my “tribe” today but I haven’t received anything and I have no idea whats going on or who is in my “tribe”
I am a new blogger and this is something I have not looked at very closely – Helpful article!
I have a problem with this site….every thread on the discussion…or any of them for that matter, does not allow me to comment. they all say commenting closed. I’m trying to connect with my ‘tribe’ and cannot say anything …I have personally commented on everyones’ personal blog today but trying to use SITS girls forum doesn’t work for me..any suggestions? thanks
Actually it says ‘commenting not allowed”…..what is this? I don’t see a place to add a comment or to start a thread or anything…..help.please…thanks
Have you created an account? If so, are you signed into your account? You should see a box to the right of the discussion threads that gives you the option to sign up or sign in.
I am with you! Trying to find my tribe. So if you find a work around for the “commenting not allowed” I would love to know.
Erin, I can’t find a single place to voice a problem with the site. I even went their Facebook page and asked for help..if you find help please tell me… renee@joytomyheart.com thanks…
