Happy Friday, everyone!

I’m so excited that it’s March! When I was a kid growing up in New Jersey, they used to say, “March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb.” And it always did! It would be snowy and blustery in the beginning of the month, and then soft and woolly by the end. We used to have classroom calendars that had photos of angry lions and then happy-looking lambs. Hilarious! I’m not sure if that was a New Jersey thing, or if anyone else grew up thinking March would be like that? It certainly isn’t these days in New England! It’s pretty lion-like until May! We still make do, though, and have pretty great activities, recipes, arts and crafts, and things to read!

If you need some fun recipes or crafts for this weekend, head on over to our SITS Facebook page and check out the most recent Facebook live videos and tutorials. You won’t want to miss the fun stuff we’re sharing!

We hope you all enjoy the weekend and can’t wait to read what you link up!

I hadn’t heard “March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb” in a long time and this year seems to be all over the place for the whole country, but the phrase is truly ringing true for the east. I’m new here, but loving the party, thanks for hosting.

That saying about the weather in March is as old as Methuselah. I know this because I heard it from my grandparents when I was a kid so… LOL We’ve had lamb weather all winter long with the exception of the first week in January so I will gladly take some lion weather before the oppressive heat hits our area. Meanwhile, I’ll be enjoying some of those wonderful posts in the Sharefest!

  • Thanks for hosting the party!

  • Too funny because I live in New Jersey and we used to always say “In like a lion, out like a lamb” too! I also remember making things in school because of it. I just assumed everyone in the country knew what that saying meant but maybe it is a New Jersey thing! Ha! Well, March is living up to its tradition of coming “in like a lion”. It’s raining heavily now and this is supposed to be quite a nor’easter! Thanks for hosting and enjoy your weekend!

    • Yes! We used to make lion and lamb crafts! I remember it so clearly. Thank you for that memory!
My friend who grew up in Connecticut told me last night that they used to say it too. Let’s hope for some lamb weather later in March..
